Crostata di zucca e speck

Ingredienti per una torta di media grandezza

Occorrente:
Farina: 200 gr.
Uova: 2
Burro: 80 gr.
Polpa di zucca: 600 gr.
Speck: 100 gr.
Fontina: 50 gr.
Parmigiano grattuggiato: 100 gr.
Salvia
Maggiorana
Sale

Come si procede:
Tritare finemente cinque foglie di salvia e unire due rametti di maggiorana. Impastare la farina con il burro ammorbidito a temperatura ambiente e tanta acqua quanta ne occorre per ottenere un composto morbido (2 o 3 cucchiai). Incorporare il trito di erbe, quindi far riposare la pasta per 30 minuti in frigorifero.
Nel frattempo sbucciare la zucca, privarla dei semi e tagliarla a pezzi. Lessarla per 20 minuti circa in acqua salata, colarla e schiacciarla con una forchetta.
Tritare lo speck e farlo rosolare in una padellina antiaderente, aggiungere la zucca e lasciare insaporire per 2/3 minuti. Sbattere le uova, unire il grana e la fontina tagliata a dadini e unire il composto alla zucca.
Stendere la pasta tenuta in fresco e ricavarne un disco. Foderare uno stampo da torte di circa 24 cm di diametro, precedentemente imburrato e infarinato. Rovesciare il composto con la zucca nella teglia e formare sulla superficie una grata con la pasta rimasta. Cuocere in forno già caldo a 200° C per 45 minuti circa. Togliere dal forno e servire tiepida.

One fine day an old Maine man was fishing and fishing on his favorite lake and catching nary a thing. Finally, he gave up and walked back along the shore to his fishing shack. When he got close to the front door, he saw it was open. Being of a suspicious nature, he walked to the door quietly and looked inside. There was a big black bear. It was just pulling the cork out of his molasses jug with its teeth. The molasses spilled all over the floor and the bear rubbed his paw in it, smearing it all over.

Well, the old man was not the timid sort. He went to the back of the shack, put his head in the window and gave a loud yell. The bear jumped and ran out the door. It was running strangely. The old man saw that the bear was holding up the foot covered with molasses so it wouldn't get dirty.
The bear ran to the lake shore. Standing on its hind legs, it held up the paw full of molasses. Soon all the flies and bugs and mosquitoes were swarming all over the sticky sweet paw. Then the bear waded into the water with his sticky paw full of bugs. It held the paw out over the water. Suddenly, a big trout came jumping out of the water trying to get to the flies. The bear gave it a swat and it flew to the shore and flopped there. Then another fish jumped into the air after the flies, followed swiftly by another. Every time a fish jumped after his paw, the bear cuffed it ashore. Soon it had a large pile.
Finally, the bear decided he had enough fish and waded to shore. The bear had caught a mess of fish any fisherman would envy. The old man had caught nothing. He watched that bear eat half a dozen trout, his stomach rumbling. All he had for dinner was some bread and what was left of the molasses. Finally the bear paused in his eating, and looked over to the bushes where the old man was hidden. The bear stood up and laid the remaining fish in a row. Then it walked away up the shore. It kept looking back at the bushes where the old man stood.
The old man crept out of the bushes and down to the shore. Sure enough, the bear had left six large trout for him. He looked over at the bear. It was standing at the edge of the wood watching. "Thanks a lot," the old man called to the bear. The bear waved the now-clean paw at the old man and disappeared into the thicket. "Well," said the old man, "That's the first time a bear has ever paid me for my molasses."
The old man never hunted bears again.

Sono sempre sorpresa dalle storie che sento e dalla gente che incontro.
Sobri ed eleganti uomini d'affari viaggiano solo con il loro orsacchiotto e se lo portano dietro negli alberghi per avere compagnia mentre sono lontani da casa.
Altri vanno in vacanza con i loro orsetti,
danno loro il passaporto e pagano pure il biglietto aereo !

Racconto all'orsetta malata...."La strada di cioccolato"

Tre fratelli di Barletta una volta, camminando per la campagna, trovarono una strada liscia liscia e tutta marrone.
-Che sarà ? -disse il primo.
- Legno non è, -disse il secondo.
-Non è carbone, -disse il terzo.
Per saperne di più si inginocchiarono tutti e tre e diedero una leccatina.
Era cioccolato, era una strada di cioccolato. Cominciarono a mangiarne un pezzetto, poi un altro pezzetto, venne sera e i tre fratellini erano ancora lì che mangiavano la strada di cioccolato, fin che non ce ne fu più neanche un quadratino. Non c'era più ne cioccolato ne strada.
-Dove siamo ? - domandò il primo.
- Non siamo a Bari, -disse il secondo.
-Non siamo a Molfetta, - disse il terzo.
Non sapevano proprio come fare. Per fortuna ecco arrivare dai campi un contadino con il suo carretto.
- Vi porto a casa io, - disse il contadino.
Li portò fino a Barletta, fin sulla porta di casa. Nello smontare dal carretto si accorsero che era tutto di biscotto. Senza dire né uno né due cominciarono a mangiarselo, e non lasciarono né le ruote né le stanghe. Tre fratellini così fortunati, a Barletta, non c'erano mai stati prima e chissà quando ci saranno un'altra volta.

Ricordi di un Natale del passato

Rocco guardava fisso l'immenso paesaggio che si estendeva, la siepe, il biancospino che cominciava a perdere le foglie; lontano si vedevano piccole casette e il suo sguardo non cessava mai di fissare quel quadro malinconico, pieno di quel sole ricco di vita e di gioia, che veniva a far ricordare i bei giorni passati e l'amore ricevuto da sua madre.... il suo animo lo ricorda....
Si sedette pesantemente, con stanchezza su un grande sasso e il suo sguardo si spingeva lontano fino a quelle casette, era lì che sentiva di voler arrivare presto....presto, per sapere...
Era partito ancora ragazzino, mentre la madre lo seguiva con lo sguardo, in mano solo una valigetta, era un brutto giorno quello; pioveva, pioveva e le strade erano tutte una pozzanghera....ma lui doveva andare.
Sono passati anni e il desiderio di tornare era sempre più forte, quello che gli mancava di più era vivere un Natale come quelli del passato, questo era il motivo per cui quando era partito aveva voluto solo una piccola valigia e dentro.....solo ricordi !
Mai aveva voluto aprirla negli anni di lontananza,aveva paura che i ricordi svanissero.
Dopo aver a lungo camminato, aggrappato alla speranza si sentì forte, una commozione nuova e intensa investì il giovane....si stava avvicinando alla casa, alla sua casa, eppure in questa casa, così apparentemente vuota, ma così piena di memorie, avrebbe saputo ritrovare la sua vita.
Oh, mamma; mamma !
Erano ancora le parole disperate che Caterina aveva udito molti anni fa; ma quanto diversa era quella voce !
Entrarono in casa ancora abbracciati, il ragazzo posò sulla tavola la valigia e finalmente la aprì....guardarono insieme tutto e fu come sfogliare un vecchio album di ricordi.....un bear, un vestito indossato dalla madre bambina e una scarpetta. Una piccola teiera, motivo di tanti sorrisi, perché papà e mamma, fingevano che fosse la lampada di Aladino ogni volta che avevano un desiderio irrealizzabile,un paio di orecchini di vetro di Murano,una piccola maschera di cartapesta, una collana di finte perle un piccolo teddy, una vecchia bambolina di celluloide, una conchiglia, ricordo dell'unico viaggio fatto dai genitori, due decorazioni per Natale, una candela natalizia mai accesa,una colonna e una testina di bisquitt, ma la cosa più importante.... la foto originale di lui bambino insieme al fratello e alla sorella, era come se non fosse mai partito,come per magia era già Natale......
OH!Signore,pensò la madre...fa che lui veda ciò che c'è oltre la notte !

Remembering a Xmas of long time ago

Rocco was looking steadily the immense landscape in front of him, the

whitethorn tree slowly letting go his leaves; far away it did show small

houses and he couldn't take his eyes away from this melancholy picture.

Still the sun was shining with joy, reminding him of long past days with his mum's love .....and all his soul was on his memory.....

He sat heavily on a big stone. Keeping his eyes on the small houses, he knew he had to reach them soon.... very soon, he had to know.

He left that place when you was still a small boy, while his mother was following him with a long look. He had a small suitcase. It was a bad day, raining and raining, roads were all a puddle... but he had to go.

Many years went by but the wish to come back was getting stronger and stronger, what he missed more was Xmas day as he had at his home. This was

the reason why he left with a small suitcase... just for his keepsake!

He never opened it while he was far away... afraid they could vanish.

After a long walk, with a great hope in his heart, he felt so deeply strong, a great new feeling burst on his heart.. he was getting near home.

His home.... he could find again his life in this house apparently empty but so full of memories.

Oh mum, mum!

They were the same desperate words Caterina did hear many yeas ago, but the voice was so different!

They entered the house all hugged together, the boy this put on the table his small suitcase and opened it at last...both of them kept looking at its contents and it was like to see a old photo album.... a teddy a dress belonging to the mum when she was a small child, a small shoe. A little teapot, which made them smile again: mum and dad did pretend ii was the magic Aladin lamp and could make any impossible wish coming true. A pair of earrings of Murano glass, a small papier machè mask, a necklace of pearls, a small teddy, a old celluloid doll, a shell from the only trip the parents did together, two Xmas decorations and a Xmas candle still new, there was also a miniature biscuit column and a small small biscuit doll’s head and a small teddy bear

The most important thing was the photo of him when he was till a child together with his brother and sister. It was as if he had never left.

Magically it was Xmas now....

Oh Lord the mother prayed...... let him see what there is behind the night!
